New UPS systems are more efficient
3-phase UPS systems typically cover larger installations such as data centers, industrial/manufacturing plants, and hospitals — but are often also used in motors, pumps, fans, and elevators.
The new UPS systems have a very high efficiency of up to around 98%, providing significant savings over time in both energy consumption and cooling needs compared to an older 6-pulse model. A new UPS can be cost-effective within just a few years if upgraded.
